After clothing bed-sheets are a significant part of our life, every house is incomplete without bed and bedding in their home. No wonder if we say without bed and bedding house is only a structure made of bricks and concrete. A house is a place where a person not only get shelter but also relax. We well knew - our relaxation is incomplete if we don't sleep and a night of healthy sleep is a must for every human. A study of doctor says rest of 6-8 hours makes us stress-free and we feel rejuvenated all day. Of course, we know that when we sleep, bedding is required. Now I reached my point bedding pays a vital role in the process of relaxing. Your bedding must be like that we must love to sleep so much that we say "please don’t disturb, I am sleeping”. In a five star rated hotel, we rate hotel on many factors. However, one of the most and significant parts is bed and bedding because in holidays we want full relaxation. We know that excellent bed and bedding helps us to relax, but when we are at home, we forget that point.
Now I will tell you about bedding. Bedding is a common name and almost everyone aware of that, but still, I describe in short "Anything placed on the bed is part of our bedding”. We usually see a mattress, mattress protector, bed-sheet, pillow, some time cushions and quilt and comforter—all these products required according to our need. Choose mattress according to your comfort level. Nowadays, so many types of mattress come in the market, according to their features price varies. We can choose a mattress according to our budget, but while purchasing, remember one thing it should be soft and comfortable for our family and us. Now after mattress you need mattress protector, some are new to mattress protector. Mattress protector tells its use by its name. A product which helps to protect the mattress from miss-happening on the bed like "toilet did by infant’s baby, while taking food on the bed some liquids fell on the bed and something like that". Hope you understand the role of the mattress protector. Now another major part is Bed-sheet. Bed-sheet is a significant part of bedding because bed-sheet not covers mattress but also eye-catching product. Bed-sheets can increase the visibility of the room by reflecting lights and prints on bed-sheets catches our soul to new imaginations.
After that, some persons put cushion that enhances the beauty of bed-sheets. Can you imagine cushions and pillows on the bed not only increase the beauty of our bed-sheets but also makes us relaxed sometimes? When we and our loved-ones sitting, relaxing or discussing some moments that time passing of cushion/pillow makes us more comfortable. Because we not only pass a cushion/pillow, but we also pass-away our thoughts and say relaxed and concentrate on enjoyment; we feel rejuvenated. A small entertainment with your loved one makes us more energetic for our next level of work-load. After that, some people use blankets, comforters, bed runners or quilts matching with bed-sheets as decoration and worked at the time of resting. 
Earlier, we talk about bedding, and we understand the role of bed-sheets in bedding. Now we know bed-sheet is a piece of cloth used for decoration of bed and cover the mattress and their accessories. Now we need to know the major steps to understand while buying a bed-sheet for your bedding. If we don't know what type of bed-sheets we need to buy, then we waste time and money in purchasing bed-sheets which we like at shopkeeper but not fit in your bedding. So, first, we should know the size of our bed. Mostly our bed available in two sizes
• 72inch  * 72inch (double bed) ( size A )
• 72inch * 75inch ( maximum this size found in every house )(double bed) ( size B )
• 36inch * 72inch ( single bed ) ( size C )
• 48inch * 75inch ( single bed ) ( size D )
Now one question comes in our mind, when sizes of beds are similar then when why bed-sheets are not fit on our bed. Answer because of mattress height. If our mattress height is 2-3 inch then size between 85inch * 90inch to 90inch * 92inch is sufficient in a double bed ( size A & B ) and single bed 54inch * 84inch ( size C ) 65inch * 90 inch ( size D ). If our mattress height is 4-5inch then size between 90inch * 95inch to 98inch * 98inch is sufficient in a double bed ( size A & B ) and single bed 54inch * 84inch ( size C ) 65inch * 95inch ( size D ). If our mattress height is 6-8 inch then size between 97inch * 105inch to 108inch * 108inch is sufficient in double bed ( size A & B ) and single bed 60inch * 90inch ( size C ) 70inch * 100 inch ( size D ). We understand the size of bed-sheets we need for our bed. Now understand various fabrics available in the market.
1. Cotton fabric. Cotton fabric well-known fabric but still as cotton, we strike in mind that cotton is rough fabric not smooth as polyester and other materials. Yet, cotton can be processed and weave in such a manner that it becomes more smooth even then polyester and other fabrics. However, cotton is a natural fibre, and the processed involved in smoothing the yarn is costlier than polyester. So every rich cotton bed-sheets are costlier and its caterers to rich people of the world. Commonly used fabric in middle-class families is 210 TC (tread counts) bed-sheets which are enough smooth that we feel good on these bed-sheets. This TC is perfect for day to day life bed-sheets; they are neither rough nor so smooth like butter on bread. Bed-sheets start from 104 TC to 1000 TC. Price of bed-sheets become higher with increasing  TC (thread count)
2. Polyester fabric. Polyester fabric bed-sheets are the fastest moving bed-sheets in the world because of cheaper material and long-lasting life. Polyester bed-sheets are a highly saleable product. So, the margin in these bed-sheets at every stage (manufactures to resellers and sellers) is minimum as now a day’s disperse printing on these bed-sheets done by latest machines. Because of disperse printing the colours on bed-sheets become sharper and fade resistance. Quality of polyester bed-sheets depends upon the GSM (gram per square meter) higher the GSM better the quality, better the quality better stick on the mattress and higher the price. We can judge the GSM of bed-sheets by feeling the thickness of bed-sheets. More increased the density higher the GSM of bed-sheets.
3. Blended fabric. Blended fabric bed-sheets are a mixture of two different material. We do so to increase strength or sometimes to lower the cost of bed-sheets.
 
4. Silk fabric. This fabric used mainly to make bedcovers instead of bed-sheets. There are tons of benefits to using silk sheets. This luxurious bedding material, produced by silkworms, is cold and sensuous with a lavish feel that is hard to beat. If you want a cool sleep spot, there is no better option than silk, and if you're looking to add a little romance to your life, these are also a great way to go. Silk is also hypoallergenic, so if you have raw allergies that plague you night and day, silk might help you ease the symptoms while you sleep. However, there are two challenging aspects involved with silk sheets. The first is cost – you're going to pay quite a premium for these high-quality sheets and that may be a deal-breaker when you start looking at the actual prices. Even more critical is that silk is extremely delicate, meaning that caring and maintenance can be frustrating and challenging.

5. Bamboo/Tencel fabric. This branded material made from the wood pulp of the eucalyptus tree, which is naturally anti-microbial and considered to be an environmentally friendly material. If you're someone who likes to conserve resources, this is an excellent option since it requires less water, chemicals, and energy to produce than cotton while still turning out soft and comfortable. Perhaps the one downfall of Tencel is that it's not as breathable as cotton, meaning that it tends to hold more heat rather than releasing it to keep you cooler through the night. Still, it definitely offers more excellent airflow than flannel and other materials, so if you don't have significant issues with overheating. At the same time, we sleep, we will still enjoy the feel of these types of bed sheets.

6. Flannel fabric. While flannel is cotton, it's best considered separately from other cotton weaves because it's warmer and better for cold winter nights. It traps body heat, keeping you toasty while you sleep. However, if you have night sweats or need to sleep in a cold environment, flannel may not work for you, even in the dead of winter. When looking at flannel, keep in mind that it's not measured or rated by thread count at all. Instead, the quality of this particular cotton weave measured in ounces per square yard. It's a loose weave that incorporates a technique similar to two-ply sheets without the worry of the material losing durability or strength.

Now we know about sizes for our bedding, and we have enough knowledge about fabric. We can choose our bed-sheets material and size wisely but before deciding bed-sheets. We should consider our room size and source of light in the room if our room is a big and satisfactory source of Natural light. Then we can choose any print of our choice according to your wall colours and furniture if our room is small but not sufficient natural light. Then we have to restrict our selection to light colours because light colours scattered light very much, so the room looks more spacious. But if our room is small and having an artificial source of light, then we have to restrict our choice to light colours as well as small prints that make a difference in the look of our room.
